CaliperAI is operated by Called Out LLC, dba CaliperAI. This policy explains what data we handle when you use the app.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Your garage — including VINs, vehicle details, maintenance logs, and payment-unlock status — is stored locally in your browser'slocalStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you submit it to the mechanic chat.
3. Mechanic Chat
When you ask a question, we send your message along with the selected vehicle's year, make, model, and drivetrain details to Google's Gemini API through our secure backend proxy so it can generate a tailored answer. We do not store these chat messages on our servers.
4. Payments
Optional Lifetime Vehicle Pass purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe receives the vehicle's display name and ID as metadata for receipt and support purposes.
5. Cookies & Analytics
CaliperAI does not set marketing cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies during checkout — see Stripe's privacy policy for details.
6. Your Choices
You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for CaliperAI.
